A magic carpet ride through the topsy-turvy universe in which we live.

Dearest Reader,

Let me get you up-to-date on what’s been happening with the ZZW and where it’s going from here.

In November 2006, I managed to convince CBC Sudbury that the Zany Zany World would make a great radio series. They agreed to six weekly columns for me to fool around with the concept. The ZZW was very well received, even though it faced challenges in the blog to radio column conversion.

Basically, I took the strangest, most bizarre, most zany news stories of the week, and presented them during Points North. If you were in Timmins, Sudbury, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Kapuskasing, or Parry Sound, you would have heard the ZZW at 5:30 pm on Friday.

Anyway, once the six weeks was up, the ZZW was put on hiatus for re-tooling.

So somehow, someway, I managed to get my stupid blog onto the radio.

Anyways, that’s the latest.

Coming up in the next few weeks: an exclusive interview with Brian Salmi, leader of the Rhino Party of Canada, the results of the stupidest baseball name ever contest, a story of a clown's double life, and much, much more.

Thanks for your solidarity,

-RD
